Looks like to me he slipped the gas on and had his lighter in hand, so when the POPO showed up he hit the striker on the lighter, Guess he showed them!
So far you have the right answers, a mix of using oxygen, and a flammable gas, either natural or propane will work, the key is the mixture of the Lower explosive limits. In a flammable gas is is fro 8 to 12% of the upper explosive limits, anything within that range with explode, mixing 100% oxygen with the gas only makes the explosion more volatile, as shown in the video.I'm sticking with this scenario.
Now that is an angle that I had not considered & sounds reasonable. Granted that blast was mostly upward from my uneducated eyes, do meth lab explosion do that?
not really, depending on the upper and lower explosive limits amount of oxygen and flammable gas. I've been to lots of these explosions over the years, as a firefighter in a large metropolitan city.

That would actually be quite difficult to pull off...see mythbusters episode
Explosion wouldn't be that big either.
Agreed. You’d have to have propane or oxygen tanks linked, or dynamite to make the entire house go up.
Of course I’ve seen Meth-labs go up the same way. And the dude’s online rants appeared awfully psychotic/Meth-y.

MK Ultraey. Wasnt he hearing voices too?
Of course this could all be fake cover for some C_A op.
I was thinking it was a missing scene from breaking bad.

Sure it can be done, but getting the mixture right would be difficult for the layman. Mythbusters did an episode on this.
