I'm in England and our gun laws are so restrictive that most people just assume ownership is impossible in practice. We're not allowed pistols, not allowed semi-auto except rimfire, and so on.
The weird contrast though with the US is that sound moderators are not only freely available but actively encouraged, to combat "noise pollution." Also there are no magazine restrictions; I could have a 150 round drum or a belt feed if I wanted.
