The only issue is they're setting up restaurants and specifically chain fast food as the only available food source to control you. So its becoming a demand issue because the average teen is doing social media as a "job" as menial labor is beneath them apparently
We used to have a lot of mid-pay jobs to move up to after your first McDonalds or Retail job. Not any more. These are the jobs that are gone. There are only entry level low pay jobs, and professional high pay jobs, not much in between. Destruction of the middle class. Raising the minimum wage doesn’t fix that.
This is the actual rational response. Perhaps fast food is not supposed to pay for a family (though, who really dictates that?)
It's just that it has to because so many jobs are exported overseas, not even giving many people a chance.
Unfortunately this is just a bandage over a festering wound covered in more bandages. Until we focus on the economy and bringing manufacturing, tech, etc. back to the U.S. this is the future.
Government made it hard for teens to get a job. Too many restrictions on when they can/can't work, and what type of work they can do. Also McDonalds wasn't 24 hours back in the day. McDonalds beside where I work paying 18-22 an hour in Nashville.
Fast food jobs were never supposed to pay for a family .they were introductory jobs for teens and summer jobs for college kids
Been shouting this for years!!! McDs was never meant to be a career!

40k before taxes is not going to pay for a family to live in Cali. It's not enough for one person let alone three or four.
The only way to make it is if you own your house, own your car, and don't have to pay medical.
Birth rates have been down and most industrial jobs went over seas, what are they supposed to do?
