Awww, you're right! It doesn't make sense why you can buy it on DVD but not download it from Prime anymore. They have the complete series pretty cheap on Ebay right now... It was filmed in the UK... I enjoyed watching the series and highly recommend it.
I can't remember the name of it but I believe it was on SciFi channel or maybe BBC. But people employ "synths" as housekeepers, drivers, etc but the synths somehow became more human and were rising up or something. It's been years.

I usually don't get creeped out by stuff, but when I first saw this I remembered the landfill scene in the first version of Stephen King's It, back in the late 80's / early 90's, where the kids are looking at the photo and the picture begins to move, and you see Pennywise. Damn, that was / is eerie as hell.
