I already married a cook/baker, I don't think she would allow me to marry a seamstress too plus I do not want to breach the subject with her cause she is a heck of a shot with a deer rifle.
I suppose you could pay for sewing classes for yourself. Or both of you. I was going to suggest for your wife but given that deer rifle thing maybe it's best if you take it together, eh? ππ
My Mom used to make a lot of my clothes when I was little, mostly out of necessity. We didn't have a lot of money, and she couldn't see spending a lot of money on things I could only wear for a few months. She also made a lot of the dresses and pant suits that she would wear to work. Yes, she worked a full time job, and still had it in her to make us supper every night, clean the house and do laundry on weekends, and fill the rest of her time sewing. She also loved fishing!
Based parents are priceless. Is your mother still around? If so, get as many stories from her as you can. Their experiences are worth more than anything this f'd-up world can teach us right now.
Here is a few master lists of family owned companies. These are mostly only for food, cleaning products and self care products not for clothing unfortunately but still good to have in your arsenal
I got a catalog from a place a month or so ago, but they were in San Fran, and really expensive and I forget the name. Not sure if San Fran would be Non Woke either

Paid for in China probably.
Carhartt has a "Made in the USA" line, supposedly.
I thought there was a boycott on Carhart because they went woke
I seem to remember they were requiring their employees to get vaxxed.
Yep. And their designs have gone soy. Their classic Detroit jacket is now a piece of shit.
