I still see far too many people wearing masks. Most of them are blacks, and of them some don the bedazzled masks, while others wear the disposable ones, and the rest wear cloth ones on their chins. 🙄
They have been here also. I would see them wearing masks way before Covid and would wonder-are they sick-or do they think we are sick and they don't want to catch anything.
Am I the only one that notices so many blacks, particularly black women, who wear masks, but wear them on their chin?
Like, I totally understand wearing a mask on your chin if you're forced to wear a mask and don't want to, so you let it drop down to your chin. And, I disagree with, but at least understand the germaphobic mindest wearing a properly fitted mask, even when you aren't forced to.
But I absolutely do not understand choosing to wear a mask, but still wearing it in a manner that absolutely does nothing.
Like, seriously, what is the mindset there? Is it a fashion statement? Do they not realize they don't have to? Is it to be at the ready if someone makes them? Do they actually think that helps something? I just don't get it.
I live in FL and I see a lot of elderly wearing them. My vet is right next to a Lab Corp lab and I’ve sat and watched people walking in, mostly elderly but many obese or sickly looking and almost all wearing masks. It is hard not to intervene and say something but I think it’s too late. By now.. you’d think they would have read something or been told how damaging masks are. You’d think their doctors would say, “sir/ma’m!!! Lose the mask! You can’t breathe!!” I can only deduce the medical pros are actively trying to reduce their life expectancy.
You know what the number one thing is that humans fear most? Suffocation. Slow suffocation perpetuates the fear cycle. Fear the virus. Fear others, fear freaking everything and do what you’re told!!
Also, moronic behavior— I was in Publix recently and a very overweight older woman had what looked like a knitted mask over her mouth. She was talking to someone on her phone and had the mask all scrunched up over her mouth. I had to wait for her to finish her effing business in front of the cheese I wanted to get. I guess survival of the fittest comes to mind in those cases.
If it helps, tell the mask wearers they are killing turtles. I was at a turtle hospital recently, and the workers said the mask was the number one pollutant in the ocean that is affecting turtles. Turtles mistakenly think the masks floating in the water are jellyfish. The turtles eat the masks, can’t digest them, and the turtles die.
When I tried telling this to some mask wearers, all I got was silence from them…..hopefully, it gave them something to think about and maybe change their mindset in the future.

If you travel, the Asians are big mask wearers
Have been for years.
Asians tend to be obedient followers.

I see some around here who do.
In my area its mostly the immigrants. Walk8ng down the street all by themselves, not another person in sight. Riding in thier cars by themselves.
In the South - when we see people alone in cars wearing masks, we say (Bless your heart.)
Cream of the crop!

That makes my heart hurt. I’ll remember this. It isn’t the straws that need boycotting.
Thank you so much for telling me and I will tell them the same.
