It is just too dangerous. There are plenty of Americans who could use this religious proselytizing, no need to go to the Cartel-operated jungles of Nicaragua.

I believe we have had some pretty amazing revivals right here in America recently as well 🙏 I'm sure they are stirred by the Holy Spirit to share and reach these people in 3rd world nations, they need to hear about the saving grace of Jesus Christ as well. Also, it is what we are called to do and we are warned that we will be persecuted for doing so 🙏

I agree, the risk/benefit analysis doesn't add up for me as well. I would suggest people take the "start from home" and branch out approach.
I would hope people at least understand the risk of getting kidnapped, raped, tortured and murdered before getting themselves into these kinds of situations.

I’ve been to Nicaragua twice in the last 2 years. Everyone I talked too liked Ortega. The infrastructure is almost as good as Costa Rica but the prices are half. Ortega used to like the Catholic Church when they preached liberation theology ( communism) but I wonder if these jailed priests no longer were doing that.
