Youre gonna have to explain the air in gas line thing. Im a mechanic. The only thing air in a gas line is gonna do is reduce power of the engine if it doesnt shut it off due to lack of fuel first.
Very correct! A hacked car can take over certain functions that are computerized like acceleration and braking and steering There have been videos showing what can be done to cars that have been hacked. Mr. Hastings may have been terrified when his engine probably red lined and the steering was disabled. How many times has this happened to notables?? Probably be something like the plane thing 7 of 10.
The steering rack is electric on those. Not only could it have been disabled, it could be remotely steered. Most cars 2010ish onward have them. They suck and have no feel.
I am SO glad I was able to pick up a low mileage (65,550 miles) 2000 Nissan Maxima in Jan 2018 for cash even though I have put money into it for what would have been normal maintenance, I am happy it doesn't have connections to the internet etc.
Come on. Unless the person trying to hack my car is driving right next to me, unlikely. Yeah, some cars might have connections to internet or some satellite communications, like on-star, but you usually have to pay for that as it's costing the service provider money.

If a car isn't 20 years or older it can go fuck itself.

Like the actress Ann Heche?
How can you hack into these systems? I doubt they are listening for remote connections and how would you remotely connect to them anyway?
The GPS and internet connections...Like the dominion machines that have wide open connections to the internet..
My car doesn't have an internet connection.

GSM , Most contemporary EMS units have a sim card. and of course WiFi and/or Bluetooth for local services.
