Literally: infringement = like infamous, where "in" is a negation. Shall not be infringed means: shall be fringed. The exact opposite of what we mean. This is fraud, a bastardization.

What about language?

And there you go. Thanks, to among others, Francis Bacon who bastardized the language and brought in words that mean the opposite of what seems.

There are mane more ( introduction, intelligence, in formation, adolescence, basically, all the latin words can be viewed as a fraud)

So, while we ask for definitions, we actually ask for a "this and that", the scription of what is this and what is that, in order to help ourselves to know what we are talking about. However, the word itself means: no limit, blurred, a cocktail of several items mixed together. It may make for a nice drink, and may create something akin to new, but it is a bastardization!

distinction = we think it means: this and that, based on " definiton". dis = not
stinct = to push
ion = name-maker.

Compare: dis-honest = not honor - able. It follows: dis is a negation. In = negation. de = negation.

A bastardization of language of such seize comes with consequence! The bond between people becomes broken, bad culture, bad habits, bad morals. And the end result is always the same: loss of freedom.
