The Mormon Jesus is brothers with Satan. The Chosen is a Mormon production. It is ear-tickling and tugs at the heart strings but that doesn’t mean it’s true or holy.
If you (or anyone else) is a true disciple of Messiah, ask His Holy Spirit for discernment in this matter. Weigh the show’s script vs. Holy Scripture. It subtly twists and subverts in such a way that if you are a blind, naked Laodicean you will not notice.

I am now of the opinion that Jesus already returned in 70AD and ruled with the resurrected saints for 1000 years. Satan was bound for the 1000 years and then loosed for a little while to deceive the nations (Rev 20). We are now in that lil season. The church fell for the lies of history. Q said this is bigger than we can imagine. Above and Beyond. Ascension. Biblical.

As u/prayerwarrior419 said, they weren't specific about reasons, but it sounds like the typical restrictions that a theater distribution company imposes as a condition of a theater release. But if you can get your church to screen it, they apparently can get it for free already.
