I think your conclusion is right, but if you don't think destroying a major transportation artery is worth averting a nuclear war with a great power country, I don't know what to tell you.

I don't think I agree with your assessment of low IQ ... or maybe I do?

It could just as easily have been retribution for an infrastructure attack like Nordstream.

Way too many possibilities to determine anything for sure now.
