Human-driven climate change has 'slowed the Earth's rotation' and could affect how we measure time, study suggests
The melting of ice in Greenland and Antarctica is said to have slowed the rotation of the Earth because it has changed where the planet's mass is concentrated.
I said to my dad many years (decades) ago now that it seemed as if time was passing more quickly. He told me that time would continue to pass faster and faster as I got older.
I thought: what an idiot, but, as usual, he was 100% correct! The whole of winter just flashed past this year.
