That’s their punishment for making the film. Either that or death, I mean look at what happened after Stanley Kubrick made eyes wide shut.
Punishment by whom? The cabal? The cabal has the power to forcefully have a pair of brothers be given sex changes against their wishes and keep it all hush hush, but weren't capable of stopping some mostly unknown writers/directors from making the movie in the first place?
The Matrix was only the second film the Wachowskis directed. The first was "Bound", a movie about a pair of lesbians screwing over the mob (sometimes literally) for a few million dollars in cash. BTW, vintage Jennifer Tilly in short, tight dresses and stilettos, 👍👍.
It seems pretty far fetched that the cabal would force a couple of men to have sex changes against their will as punishment for making a movie rather than just buying them out or scaring them off or sabotaging their funding or all the other things the cabal regularly do in order to stop movies they don't want to be made from ever seeing the light of day.
Unless the brothers had vaginoplastys (where the penis is removed and a vagina and vulva are constructed), it would be extremely easy to de-transition. So if they didn't want to live as women, they could have easily gone back to living as men. Even if they did have their penises removed, they could have still gone back to living as men if they wanted. It's sadly common to hear stories of men who fully transitioned to female regretting it and going back to being male, just without a penis.
So, yeah, it's a bit nonsensical to think that they were forced to become transsexuals against their wishes. You could easily have their penises removed, but it's a bit harder to force them to continue living as women against their wills, for decades.
And they obviously didn't learn any lessons from being forced to transition for making the Matrix, because they made four follow up Matrix movies and about half a dozen Matrix video games.
I feel like this is just people grasping for a reason to justify their admiration of a movie made by a couple of deviants. I'm sure if a pair of transsexuals had made a movie you hated, you wouldn't be saying they were forced to become transsexuals for making that movie.
Seriously only an idiot could watch the four Matrix films and believe that insanely baseless and simplistic explanation as being authentic. That movie has one core message: faith is the ruling power of this universe or any other universe in existence. It supersedes and overpowers every law, every philosophy, and everything, and he who would be the chosen one, is he who is brave yet humble enough to accept the mantle and the responsibility that comes with it to put in the time to sanctify themselves and take the leaps of faith necessary to work the miracles reserved to the chosen throughout human history.
At their core, The Matrix and the Bible have the exact same message. Sorry not sorry it’s true.
