I loved watching the intro to Howard Cosell. The imagery of victory and the agony of defeat. Image of skier getting absolutely wrecked while attempting a ski jump. Sports back then was absolutely gladiatorial. An amazing age.

Cosell was probably the very first cancel culture victim. He said something about black athletes not being good swimmers because of their lean muscle mass not floating as well as less lean white athletes.

Jimmy the Greek was probably the second victim.
