It is fucked up, but no more fucked up than killing the baby inside the womb. I can't believe baby murder is a divisive topic. We need nothing short of a full on nationwide ban on abortions.
Last year, California watered the bill down so that if the baby's death was due to mother's negligence and the baby died only within 7 days, then the mother couldn't be prosecuted. This one passed. So yes, infanticide is legal in California as long as it is within 7 days of the baby's birth: https://www.skywatchtv.com/2022/06/12/california-infanticide-bill/
Edit to add: This bill was marketed as a bill to protect abortion rights and most people didn't look into the details. I don't think it would have passed if more people understood the details.
Thank you for sharing this! This makes me feel a little better about my state. I was very upset when I found out the bill had passed and didn't know the loophole had been closed.
Meanwhile, in my opinion, God used the original version of this bill (where investigating a baby's death was illegal if the baby was 30 days old or younger) to expose who is evil. I believe that all the people who came out in favor of the original version of the bill have outed themselves as satanists.
Where are babies being "aborted" after birth?
Many Democrats have repeatedly spoke up for this.

That's fucked up. No way in hell should that be legal!

Last year before last, California tried to pass a law saying that if babies die of any reason within 30 days of birth, it is illegal to investigate or prosecute. This brought huge outrage, so it didn't pass: https://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billTextClient.xhtml?bill_id=202120220AB1666 Article summarizing it: https://californiaglobe.com/articles/infanticide-or-pregnancy-loss-abortion-bill-passes-assembly-judiciary-committee/

So shamefully and blatantly evil.
That "loophole" was closed, even the Catholics accepted it https://cacatholic.org/news/ab-2223-infanticide-bill-amended/
