Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evolving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Question for those who have seen changes in their family and friends who had the vaxxes. Have any of you seen mental changes as opposed to physical? Have any of you seen people completely flip their beliefs? An example would be a formerly conservative person suddenly thinking biden is great? Or someone who was a religious person who has given up their faith? Anything drastic like that? Thanks.
I noticed my vaxx colleagues doing doctor checkups for all sorts every other week.. seems they're very paranoid now that news kept coming out about "suddently" in younger people and side effects.
It’s hard to say if dementia is old age or the vax. My dad is 80 and his mental has declined a bit. It’s forgetfulness like telling the same story every time you see him. He’s still active, drives, cuts grass but can’t do some things he could five years ago. Had hip replacement last year and that slowed him a bit. However my mom has been in nursing home two years and that’s taken a toll on him. She’s very demanding and complains about everything every time you visit. He is vaxed, I think twice. Also did a vaccine trial in the past two years to get $$$. The man doesn’t need money, he’s worked hard and hasn’t squandered his money. I think it was the new RSV vaccine. Nothing I can do about it he doesn’t listen to me.
My mil has shown a different personality as well her old self over the past few years. Some things she says isn’t like her. She’s fully vaccinated but I don’t think she’s getting more boosters. I don’t ask because she was very rude/mean towards my husband because he refused the vax. Even said if you are in the hospital with covid don’t call me. She’s a retired nurse and believes everything doctors and news says. Clearly a victim of fear mongering. She’s about 78.
My mother in law has shown signs of dementia and it’s gotten worse. I don’t know if it’s attributed to the vax but she does whatever her doctor says so I’m sure she’s up to date on all boosters (even though we begged her not to).
Nope. Re mental things is like forgetfulness here and others fobbing it off as "they're over doing it" 🤨🤦
