Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evolving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
I have never used Sea Moss, but I can relate to these issues. I am not a doctor but this is what I have experienced.
When I was young growing up, I was always anxious and stressed with anxiety. I would always want to sleep. On the weekends my mother would wake me up around 11:00 am and say are you going to sleep the day away?
It wasn't until I was in my 40's that a new doctor diagnosed me with Epstein-Barr Syndrome. After research I learned that Shitake Mushroom is good for this. I used it and after 6 months my energy was normal for my age. Reishi Mushroom would do the same, but Shitake is recommended.
The anxious and stress was not from Epstein-Barr. I did discover by accident that NAC which is an amino acid worked wonders. I took 1 a day and after a month I felt calm and grounded. Then after 2 months I started getting hives every day. I would occasionally get hives but not daily. Then after research I found that NAC activated histamine, so I quit NAC. I felt the best I ever did taking NAC than I did in 50 some years.
So, if NAC doesn't work because of hives try L-Methyl Folate. I use the NOW brand. In this case all you need to know is that L- and 6(S)- indicates biologically active L-Methylfolate (helpful). D- and 6(R)- indicate non-biologically active L-Methylfolate (not helpful). Your bottle should read [as Quatrefolic® (6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolate, glucosamine salt]”.

This and powered Inositol daily had worked just as well as NAC with no hives.
Good luck.
Thank you GG! You really Rock!
Coincidentally I bought some NAC about a month ago as I read on the Tinnitus Forum that it helps with the ringing in the ears.
Mine has improved from the worst high ever, so since I haven't had any side effects, I'll pick up a bottle for my son also.
I'll get some Shitake mushroom next. 👍
Again, thank you soooo much! 🙏
Your welcome.
I wish I could take NAC. I may try it again sometime.
