Tho everyone should recognize that cash is still fiat, just a printed version of the same ponzi scheme the banks operate. To actually "cash out" you need something with actual value, like gold or bitcoin.
Peculiar. I was in Sweden and payment with cash was totally tippie top.
But, IF you only have a bank account then you will be screwed. Get a crypto account with a prepaid card connected to it. You are free to go. You can even get an IBAN connected to it in Switserland.
That's the fine thing about crypto tho, it works just like cash. You don't have to carry your mattress around at all time with millions in your life savings, you only carry what you need and what you can afford to lose. I.e only transfer a small amount to the custodial wallet before you go shopping.
With this method you can even use multiple cards and might have a chance to pay still if one of the exchanges or card processors are down.
Beats bank accounts monopolies when society goes cashless. Nobody wants a cashless society but unfortunately it's inevitable because banks have monopoly on cash.
That's fine, I agree. People should just understand what they are getting into and not just assume because some new banking service uses crypto that it isn't just as scummy.
We're almost there with the digital wallet apps being able to make NFC payments.
Until then I have a coinbase debit card that I use on the regular. Coinbase accounts can also accepts direct deposits. So they're one of the better middle men for the moment.
You'll save a lot of money by using this strategy, plus that crypto debit cards works everywhere in Europe and you can even pay your utility bills with card, there's really no need for a bank nowadays.
Not just Sweden. Denmark their neighbor has same system where you once a week have to answer invasive questions to unlock access to your account or they could confiscate it. Your bank access is directly linked to mandatory “citizen account” controlled by the government. I had a bank account here for years and it was an absolute nightmare as some of the questions I was not able to answer since I don’t live there anymore. It got to the point where I just decided to close the account all together. Now I hear that people have to disclose what they need money for when asking for a withdrawal.
It depends on bank too, Sweden has 6 major banks, ironically the worst ones, i.e those that harass their customers the most are also the ones getting caught for money laundering all the time, we're talking billions of dollars. Often benefiting countries that are considering enemies of NATO such as Iran, North Korea, Russia and so on. These banks are the definition of evil who don't hesitate to kill thousands of people just to hide the truth of their shady business practices.
Won't let you cash out? That sounds like theft.

Fuck the banking system!
Your prepaid crypto card is custodial too. Unless you set up your own wallet and use it directly it is just as controlled as the banking system.
There is one corrorally indeed, to fund it from a different location (wallet) and keep the majority of the funds decentral.
It is all about risk analysis and remediation.
O and the best thing: trigger sellers to accept crypto. Either by using a quick and cheap system peer to peer, or with a P.O.S.

That's all good if you wanna do it that way, but the card account is still:

True, "crypto banks" are just as scummy as fiat banks.

I'm in the US so I use a Credit Union and Coinbase for crypto.
Coinbase can also accept direct deposits.
There are a few options out there. People just have to use them.
coinbase is central. = high risk. Go decentral. And make sure you have burner addresses on monero and Kiiro
You don't put everything there, only what you plan to spend in the next few hours. Just like with cash.
Yeah this seems lost on people at times.
I don't know of any wallet apps that support direct payments yet.
So that leaves Coinbase and Bitpay.
They all do, problem is that many merchants don't accept native crypto payments yet. Although more are starting to every day. 👌
I've had people try and tell me they don't take cash but by the time I walked out my money was sitting on their counter.
Nothing like counting/checking the bag before you pay. "....for All Debts Public and Private
Better buy some Bitcoin
This is he correct solution. 👆

Sue, your Australians gave up their guns willingly. Shut the fuck up.

I'm about to start contracting heavily again, what do you think is a fair discount for cash, silver or BTC? I was thinking 20%...
Not sure if this will work for you. I charge customers using a card EXTRA, works great for me.
Good luck with it.
Ohh no you got asked questions… tell the teller it’s none of her fucking business and close your account. If they want to boss you around fight bavk
