Its all about the shells, but me being an American civilian doesn’t expect a member of the armed forces of Ukraine to comprehend that TP-T are not HE, which if you were going to fire into a house is exactly the type of munitions you’d want to be using. I have over 800hrs playing Battlefield 4, and mechanized Warfare is my favorite, would be willing to bet my Xbox training far surpasses whatever the fuck they’re on.
Hahaha I didn’t even catch that, good laugh for 6am.
But yeah that and so many other variables, they can’t even strategically use these tanks because air support doesn’t exist and then to find out they have all “31” in the same general location, jeez the Russians probably love shooting fish in barrels. Also there is no way we are sending our best surplus armor over there, these donations are just a placeholder for Ukrainian coffins. By now they should realize how little our politicians care for them, they’re not going to stop at the last Ukrainian, they’ll take the French, Fins and Norwegians down with anyone else foolish enough to enter that arena.
Okay. So you are are dude. You are going to the shop to buy some bread hoping to make some sandwich for yourself when you suddenly find yourself dragged away by the Z goons. After the mandatory 2 days of being beaten and thrown in the bathtub (or whatever the hell Uki bootcamp is like), you are given a tank. The dude who gives it you says "Got no clue what the heck this is. Figure it out".
In the comments people mention that there are some ammos that just make a hole in a brick wall and shoot straight through to the other side, simply because its not meant for taking down buildings.
But c'mon, they have a good excuse. The instructions were in English!
With 17 shells spread across the house, I'm sure you can still take it down just by damaging enough of the supports in the walls or foundation so really there's no excuse. They just have a skill issue, and that skill issue is being rewarded by our government.
They probably couldn't figure out how to calculate a different trajectory so before the next shell was loaded there was probably an order to fire again!
Think of the ammunition in terms of a 12-gauge shotgun firing at a wooden storage shed.
If you're shooting #12 birdshot, you can shoot multiple times, and you're only taking paint off of the building.
If you're shooting #4 birdshot, each round will leave dents in the building and some pellets may even penetrate the plywood, but it won't do much damage.
If you're shooting #2 shot, each pellet in a round will penetrate the plywood and will blow small holes in the plywood building, but won't totally destroy it.
If you're shooting 00 buckshot, you will be blowing large holes through the plywood siding and likely through the back wall as well. A few rounds of that, and the shed would be falling apart.
Same weapon, same basic shell size... very different results.
Are the Ukrainians sure they weren't given blank training rounds?
If they aimed at the corners and down the walls, it just might work. but shooting through the living room window and out the dining room window ain't gonna cut it.

Name checks out, kek!
Ahd yeah the comments pretty much says the same thing, operator error.

What do you do?

Imagine being so incompetent and terrible at your job WITH A TANK that you can't even bring down a house with 17 shells lmao
It's one of those things you'd think people would be embarrassed to admit outloud

I dont think there's enough IQ left in the ukranian defense force to power a calculator.

I am sure they shot all 17 at the same spot!

Sorry, we will take them back now.
Sorry they got no postage money and it wasn’t from Amazon!
Surrender 😬
aim better.
It's all in the ammunition, not the tank itself.
