25% Federal Income tax. 7.5% SSA or 15% if self employed. 7% State Income tax in MS. 7% sales tax on all purchases. PLUS property tax, gasoline tax, garbage disposal tax and many other small taxes. Once you take this away from your income you are left with about half of what you earn!

You should do the math and then tell us how much CA allowed you to keep. When I was living in the Bay area back in 1980, I calculated about 30+ percent.

It is actually quite maddening. I in particular HATE the fact that my name is attached to every "foreign aid" package that is approved. While I strongly disapprove the money I work hard for is sent to fund foreign wars, what can I do to change this?? This is the maddening part.

Yes...along this vein, it infuriates me when self-righteous Pastors get up in front of their congregations and say it's a sin not to pay your taxes, or hide your true income, etc! The whole system is fraud...most by now know this! We Christians are funding horrific things with the monies handed over to the banksters who own the FED. It's actually a sin to pay taxes! I think if most Evangelical Christians had a choice, pay God His tithe or pay your taxes, they would pay the taxes. Admittedly, I fall into this category as well! I stopped going to church years ago because it was too difficult listening to the rock music and it just became entertainment. That said, I do give money to Chuck Baldwin, but not near as much as I give the FED!

This is not in any definition of the word "free" that I've ever read! Peter Schiff's father wrote a book exposing the lies of the FED and was told if he published it, he would be imprisoned. The cost of our debt/credit is the destroy the constitution (Bill of Rights) and the Republic.
I am going to try and use my opinion to how people view tax/debt.
If a bank (us citizen) allows money to be given as a loan it is expected to be paid back. If a bank (us citizen) gives so much money as a loan, when does the loan become slavery?
For instance if a bank allows you to have a line of credit for a billion dollars and you take that does not the bank become your slave?
This is the issue with many Americans. At the moment the USA government wants to people to give it more money so the people become more slaves, but this requires the people to forfeit their rights as Americans.
Will Americans see before it falls? I honestly have faith they are so dumb now that they will not. The real master is the people in the USA and all it would take is for the people to say no more.
Yet the people look at the government as their master instead of their neighbor and self. Yet they at the same time expect their neighbor to follow their rules.
This is why a collapse is inevitable at some point the perception of who the master/slave is has to be more relevant and this will demand the extermination of the Bill of Rights and many will tout that it will never happen and yet we seen how people will just follow orders for a demonic government who says 6 foot distancing and wearing masks.

Thank you. I try telling that to people and you should their reactions. I do not agree on Federal tax, but I do agree that we need to pay for infrastructure that we use. I do not just mean highway and bridges but parks and things like that.
Need to think about where the money is coming from in terms of taxes.
I am no expert on this however what if… USA citizens were the way they did the money laundering?
