Read the bills, however tedious they make it. This is how they do it. They know that most people don't take the time to actually read the bills.
most people don't understand the bills they write. done on purpose.
Same in ohio...yes vote means no..no vote means yes
Bingo. I read an article I believe from Harvard (Business School??) or from some well-known alum of harvard maybe...? IDK, & doesn't matter.
Point is; the article changed my life & business, because it said that there's literally NO reason why contracts have to be written in arcane legalese.
There's no reason why contracts can not be written in plain, conversational English, or really written however you want.
There's no rule / law stating that "lest thine covenant is drafted in the terminology of jurisprudence, it holds no legal weight."
As I recall (and I'll have to dig it up) the article didn't specifically state legislation, but why not......
ETA: FOUND IT!!!! Woot! IT was Harvard Business School: https://hbr.org/2018/01/the-case-for-plain-language-contracts
Right below the harvard article was this hilarious little gem too: "Even Lawyers Donβt Understand Legalese, New Study Shows"
