Unfortunately he said it would start as of the date of the EO. Better than the current situation but allows a crap ton of illegals to have anchor babies if born before Jan 2025. Maybe he, or someone else, can try to make it retroactive.
I do like that our president would do this, but I hate EO's the president should pass laws like they are supposed to do, getting a congressman to sponsor the bill and bring it up on the floor, and then when a new president is elected he/she can not just change the EO and/or do away with it, but they have to have Congress' permission. When did our government start being run by EO's?? If Trump has a "valid" majority of Conservatives, not RINOs then passing the law should be done and he could make it retroactive to the 1980's. That would be something.
Congress can still pass it into law afterward to make it stick into future presidencies...but the Congressional way takes time that we don't have. An EO makes it effective immediately.
Don't forget to make it effective as of Jan 1, 1980 ...

I wish we could have some crime reviews for those before 2025. Any crime, financial support of antifa etc, abuse of a welfare system- out, out, out.

Too many RINO’s.
Right now, but I was hoping he would get a more conservative Congress and Senate, but who knows.
If a past policy was contrary to law from the outset, there shouldn't be any problem with making the fruits of an illegal act also be illegal.
