Just a small niggle, but, if an event is 4000% more likely than normal, it means the likelihood has increased by a factor of 41 times (not 4000 times). A 4000% increase translates to 41 times the original risk. Therefore, it is not accurate to say it is 4000 times the risk.

Easier explanation. A percentage in math is displayed as a decimal. 100% is 1.000. 90% is .90. 1% is .01. As a fraction 100% is 100/100= 1. 90% is 90/100=9/10. 1% is 1/100.
So 4000% is 40.000 or as a fraction 4000/100.
A percentage is basically a division operation.

Sad, just read news that 2 Children at a school in Liverpool both died, aged 5 and 6. All reports push that the School had closed due to a stomach bug, but also say that the Health Agency state they "unlikely" died due to the bug. Reason for deaths are not yet known.
Media in Oz is pushing the agenda again. 50 school kids per day will end up in hospital due to this season's flu
Reuters says that is due to only compromised children being allowed the vaccine during that time i.e. they would have died anyway. I am not saying that is the full extent of it but that is what they say.
Seeing a few foster type ads on f.b Maybe unfortunately if the parents and relatives are dying this is the nicer exit. 😢
