Japanfag here. This is good news. People here tend to be sheep, but they do have some principals. Credit cards has only become prevalent in the past 20 or so years, and many businesses are still cash-only.
Good to know. I am a cash only person for local shopping. I believe using cash will delay or even stop CBDC.
Me too. Cash is king.
There was almost nowhere to use a credit card when I was there last. I didn't mind carrying cash though. Loved the vending machines.
Is it true that people don't shake hands there; that it's considered an insult to stretch out your arm to shake someone's hand?
