If true, the fact that they tried shows you how stupid they are. And it ties in to the fact that they really do believe anyone can be educated to do anything, hence the idiocy of DEI and importing the rest of the world.

Ben Affleck won an Oscar for directing a film that glorifies the Deep State. He won a screenwriting Oscar with Matt Damon for a script that was rumored to have been written by an older professional. They made noise about running Affleck for the Senate.

That’s because weak people will vote for him because they like his movies. Celebrity admiration is what drives most people today. Just like Mathew Maconaugh (probably spelled wrong don’t care enough to look it up). Someone is pushing him to run for office. I used to watch him in anything just because I liked the way he talked. Damned embarrassing!
In an alternate reality where everyone had drunk the Kool-Aid and gone deeper into their trance, this would have been a perfectly reasonable move on their part. I'm surprised they didn't just go all in and recruit Bill Pullman from Independence Day.
