I don't know if this has been mentioned here but there was an unbelievable calmness in the thousands of people at President Trump's Butler, PA rally. When gunshots rang out and we saw our President go down, most also went down, took cover. Seconds seemed like hours, even if you were watching on TV. When he rose up and raised his fist in the air triumphantly, so did the crowd with cheers of joy.
What happens in a crowed movie hall if someone yells "FIRE!" or in any type of a possible mass shooting scenario? The most human response is to run to escape, causing a mass stampede towards the exit, trampling people on the way. That did not happen at this rally. There was a calm, orderly exiting.
There could have been massive death and chaos given the thousands of MAGA attendees in a relatively confined space. The Trump supporters there, I believe were foremost concerned for the President's wellbeing over their own safety concerns. I am so proud of how most MAGA believers conduct themselves with dignity, control, commonsense and respect for their fellow citizens. We are proving to America, we are not what the left wants others to believe. We do NOT riot and destroy our own towns and cities, we do not back down and we will NOT give up on defending America. WWG1WGA!
Is this post a joke???
I disagree completely. Vehemently.
All that we saw was a bunch of sheep / cattle lumbering around with their cameras and not taking any action at ALL. Bunch of morons looking to get vid for instagram likes.
Why did nobody do anything like YELL “GUN, GUN, GUN!!!!” Or “FIRE, FIRE, FIRE!!!” to get some actual attention and movement?
I saw video of at least one man interviewed by BBC who said he clearly saw the guy on the roof had a rifle in hand.
So dozens or more of these Trump rally attendees literally see a man climbing up a building, onto the roof, laying prone WITH A RIFLE VISIBLE, and all they do is stand around and film with their cameras?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Literally everybody there should be eternally ashamed of themselves, if not brought up on charges of treason / collusion. All the cops & USSS should face the firing squad for such epic, monumental, thermo-nuclear collective failures.
We claim to love Trump so much, yet when we see a literal sniper getting on a rooftop, AND cops / USSS actively doing NOTHING, we do the same? NOTHING?
Nobody else thought to even try to climb up there themselves??? If nothing else, but to bring more attention to the shooter???
OK; maybe trying to climb up there wouldn’t be the brightest, since you might get mistaken for the actual bad guy, but still; my point stands.
Nobody YELLED, nor did anything the fuck else of significance that I’ve seen.
All any of the attendees did was stand around filming.
Disgraceful.

I've actually seen videos today of people hollering and jumping up and down to notify the police or SS, getting themselves noticed as to tell them about the shooter...otherwise, with no weapons on them, what exactly did you expect them to do?
If they had run towards the building or gone up there, they definitely would have been mistaken to be with the shooter.
I saw caring patriots (not sheep) as they wanted to see the status of POTUS Trump, once he went down. When he was up and walked to the waiting vehicle, many started to clear out.
The audience members could only really tell the police if they saw the guy with the gun. They were inside a fenced-in area. They were unarmed.
I guess there is one other thing someone could've done, and I'm about 100% certain nobody did. When the cops ignored the reports from the 2 people (known so far) that they see a gunman, they could've bypassed all of it and simply called 911 and said they see a gunman on the roof near Trump. 911 would've been required to notify security at the rally. I'm certain they were on alert, as were the hospitals, ambulances, and surrounding police precincts. I guess nobody thought of that.
How do we know that was not done? Maybe 911 got a few or many calls but police did not respond
This is a very good point & I’m intensely curious to see if anyone called 911.
So just sit back, watch Trump get shot in front of your face?
IDK: and maybe I would have frozen too; but someone should have done SOMETHING more.
Trump literally - especially true after Saturday - puts his life on the line for us - we can’t do the same? We’ll just shrug our shoulders & say “but it’s dangerous! I could get hurt!!”
is that the answer?
Why don't you tell me what you would have done? More than likely, nothing when there were police and SS agents around.
Not sure what you're trying to accomplish with these questions?
Yes, we all know how much POTUS Trump gives to the people and what he endures to run for office and people show their appreciation by supporting him, showing up to his events, making donations and will more than likely come out in huge numbers to vote for him, again as they did the previous 2 times.
While I can agree with some of what you've said here, I think painting the entire group of rally-goers with a broad brush of disdain is an overreaction. I'd guess that 99% of them had no idea whatsoever that there was a threat nearby until the shots rang out. As OP states, the behavior of the crowd at that point and afterwards was largely commendable. I do, however, agree that the bizarre video-taking reaction so many in our culture have devolved into does not seem healthy nor well-intentioned. It would, in fact, be a topic worthy of discussion in a more even-tempered, less caustic and accusatory tone. Just mho.
As far as those who actually did see the guy up on the roof with the rifle, I agree that they should have been heading to the main area and yelling "GUN!!!" to everyone and their cousin and telling them to spread it into the crowd and over to the security, keep yelling if they still allowed POTUS to get on stage.
There really aren't attendees near enough to POTUS while he's on stage (for his own safety) to be able to do anything to help protect him once the shooting began. It took perhaps a second or two for POTUS to realize what was happening and get down on the ground, another second or two for the SS to pile on top of him and so any spectators getting in the way would have been counterproductive.
There is blame to be had, but I don't think a blanket disparagement of the entire group there is warranted. I know this is upsetting, friend, and there's much in our culture's degradation that has contributed to the lack of action, but these are topics that can and should be discussed, IMHO, in a more thoughtful way.
Yes you are right & I will add a note to my post later to say this. I was extremely upset when I wrote this, as I know we all are. I’m sure we all feel the same.
It’s just so damn fucking frustrating. I hope everyone involved takes a long, hard look at themselves & their actions after all this.
People did. No one knows what they will do, but I am 100 percent on board with the notion of people running towards the guy with the gun. That would be awesome and it is a dream. The reverse however where we think people automatically panic and run away as we see in movies and cities like Chicago is far fetched to.
If someone yells fire in a movie theatre (these days no one is in the movies) I still don’t believe people would run and stampede.
When 9/11 happened (regardless of why) we seen many calm people. We even seen calm people jumping off of the building because they refused to go out burning. They chose jumping.
Will people stampede. Yes and that is why we should stay away from leftists mostly peaceful protests.
