Colour me unimpressed with the evening. I came in a bit late, saw Kid Rock and Hulk Hogan and some bald woman with a tattoo across her forehead who apparently is an OnlyFans star. And waaaay too much music between speakers, like they were trying to kill time or something.
I found it cheesy and corny, frankly. Superannuated popculture and pr0n stars are undignified "acts" leading into a speech by a true world leader.
Trump's speech itself was OK. I expected a bit of an explanation of the shooting from his perspective, and him laying out his platform. I'm glad he mentioned the other people who were injured and the poor fellow who was killed. But going over and hugging the uniform and kissing the helmet--that was cringeworthy.
There were moments I didn't like and felt were a bit much, but I can see why they did it this way. They're trying to attract new people to the movement, and now is the perfect time to do it. They had to put on a big show to grab attention.
Imagine how the bright lights, music, and celebratory festival vibe of the RNC are going to contrast with the doom, gloom, chaos, and rage of the DNC in a few weeks. Who on earth wants to get behind THAT mess?
She explained how she saw through the media's propaganda, once you see, you can't unsee. I thought her speech was good. And like Trump said, he doesn't want to be the president for half of the people. He wants to be the president for everybody.

Overall, it was a huge disappointment for me.
Far too un-serious.
The message was unity. That is a critical .
That wasn't for us that was for the newly awakening

I actually understand your point of view on this.
I didn't see all of it. But it was average to me.
Guess that depends on the definition of "unserious", or not serious.
