With respect, for some of the questions that were asked, her response was accurate and not deflection. In this case, the Secret Service cannot do the investigation. The FBI has sole jurisdiction on investigating attempts on the President, Former President, and Presidential Nominee.
She doesn't need to be threatened. Her department was in on the plot. This is CYA and plausible deniability. Her story now can't conflict with the story the FBI declares as the gospel. This is classic government behavior.
