I think all the blood he mentioned has some other meaning.
The Mills photo one second after the shot shows blood on his hand, which is why he ducked. There are at least two photos of the bloody handkerchief that wiped his hand and face. There are at least two photos of blood drops on his jacket. This is consistent with his description.
You do know that Trump exaggerates, right? That's kind of his thing.
Occam's Razor is he got shot and is exaggerating the amount of blood.
Or he was in shock and his mind only really saw blood. I saw blood on his hand after he grabbed his ear.

When I got my nose bit by a dog, all I could see was red heh heh. if you look at the video, when he reached back and swatted at his ear in the WTF moment, you can see some blood on his fingers just before he hears the SS saying to get down and got down. Seems like an exaggeration but, to him, maybe that is how his mind saw it or maybe it was a bit of exaggeration too.. heh heh heh. Like one of those fisherman stories of how big a fish they almost caught one day.

The natural reaction would be to wipe your hand off on your pants.
Even if he grabbed his ear, dropped to the ground with bleeding ear facing the ground, keeping his collar and jacket above the puddle, it would be hard to stay clean with 5 agents dog piling on top of you. I trust the agents would have given him handi-wipes to clean off his hand and face but there was no rag/bandage/towel held up to his ear when he high fisted the crowd.
I've been in a number of fights where my eyebrow was split open, there were not just drips and puddles on the ground but streaming down my face, shirt and collar.
I will account for divine intervention but short of that I would have been a bloody mess if someone even nicked my ear with an exacto-knife
It sounded like an analogy of America.. how many and how much we have lost as a country, bled us dry, and if you see Trump's hand is clean because blood is not on his hands, it's on the hands of the left. And because of this, the revenge, Sum of All Fears, is ON. We get up again, fight, rebuild, suck it up, persevere, and take country back by the grace of our Almighty God.

It looks like a tiny edge of the side of the ear got hit. There's a small shiny spot. I'm told that is a bit of cartilage visible.
Well if you had watched it live it was really bloody. Sure he wiped it.
Trump needed to let people know that he was indeed alive and ok before those people stuck him inside the blacked-out behicle. Who knows what could have happened?
