Trump can tell the whole world in such a plain language and charismatic way my exact feelings.
Electric cars are fine for people whose mileage requirements are unlikely to exceed the lifespan of one battery. A massive selling target could be older couples who just want to get about town independently. Grandparents who help with the kids school runs, and on the weekends want to take them to the beach. You see where I'm going. So that's fine. Heck, even incentivise them for that selling bracket, so you get your sales numbers and increase in overall proportion of vehicle use. Also, that reduction in ICE vehicles in cities, towns and urban will contribute towards your green crap, because that is exactly where all the pollution occurs, because of all the idling, stop-start nature of the driving.
Then leave the rest of us who want and NEED ICE the fuck alone.
Electric cars are fine so long as they stop trying to force people to use them. That's my only stance.
Free market means if people want to buy them, they will. But there shouldn't be gaslighting, shaming or legislation forcing anyone who wants to stick with gas to swap.
Yup. I have 2 electric cars and I love them. For daily driving. I only love them because I have diesel and gas cars for when I need to go somewhere longer distance. Not everyone can have numerous cars. If I were only able to have 1 car it would not be a good idea to have only electric.
You've got to burn coal or natural gas (mostly) to generate the power to charge the electric cars? So until we find an efficient way to charge them and don't have an environmental issue mining the material or disposing of the spent batteries then where's the benefit of electric cars?
I disagree! The vehicles are very heavy, the batteries fund these lithium mines, and are a fire hazard and death trap. But sure, as an American I’ll allow it. This july is the first time I have seen so many Teslas on the road.
Although, I despise people charging them at a campsite because they are drawing so much more electricity and not fairly paying for it.

Electric golf carts are fine, need to be low IQ to have that many batteries in your vehicle.
People are going to be low IQ no matter what their car is, but at least they would have the freedom to use gas without anything pushed on them.
Except our electric grid infrastructure is not designed to handle this type of usage.
