It does if you take "real" classes like math, physics, computer science and even ancient history, but manage to see through a lot of the bullshit and make up your own mind. I thought my Western Civilization instructor was "out there" with some of his comments, and doubled down on that thinking when I heard he was being watched by the FBI for possible connections to the Irish Republican Army. Funny how hindsight works now, isn't it?
If you can make it through all that but still see through the BS, you now have a moved up a level in the Q army.
There’s Big Government, Big Tech, Big Pharma, but the Big we need to take down the most is Big Colleges that are overpriced for indoctrination instead of real education.
I retired from teaching in 2020 after 41 years. When I started in 1979, I was surrounded by scholars. When I retired, I was surrounded by idiots, including the principal and the superintendent. The only brain I respected was the custodian.
You're just upset you spent a quarter million on an education you could have got for a $1.50 in late fees from the public library. Actually that's not quite true. It would probably have been a better education if you ever figured out how to think for yourself.
Yeah I borrowed a goodwill hunting line... sue me matt ... in Australia or New Zealand or where ever it is you are threatening to move to this election cycle.
honestly I'm surprised we don't have more pushes to abolish government licensing requirements for jobs and to legalize more competition to higher education. These twin problems seem like pretty big attacks on freedom today
These kids go to universities on student loans of hundreds of thousands of dollars and learn nothing---not even that they have indebted themselves to the system for the rest of their lives. They become the slaves of the government with their debt.
Bingo! Our entire education system is designed to suck any self preservation, creativity, and drive out of students, to create perfect worker bee molds of people who's sole purpose is to work for the elite.
It's honestly heart breaking. I've talked to older folks, who say they'll never retire because they wouldn't even know what to do with themselves. In their 70-80 years, they haven't found any hobbies/ interests/ purposes that they want to pursue in their free time. What a wasted life. 80 years... and haven't developed anything worthwhile.
To them
Socialization = only happens at work
Interested in = work related or main stream things.
Purpose = working as a slave
And to your point about being indebted, covid was a perfect example. Be a doctor. Have 250,000 in debt from college. Work for a doctor group. Get told push vaccine or be fired. Now they're in a corner, what other job could ever pay back their debt?
The whole system is a crime against humanity in its current iteration.
A well thought out plan and has been in the making for millennia. Only in the last 50 years with today's technology has it been possible ----- and it is going to get worse!
The term 'educated' now has little meaning.
I spent 25 years working for a large university, and I can confirm every word.
AND I live in a retirement community and they STILL ACT LIKE THAT!!!!!!!!
HIT THE NAIL SQUARE THERE pale_rider!!!!!

And you still refer to it as "elite". Sad...
Another graduate of "credible source university" I see.
1999 wants it’s tuition back.

I didn't think so, I know so.
