I don't get why he would repeateldy say "You're not going to have to vote anymore."
Even taking it as the innocent meaning, it's a dumb thing to say. Not that Trump is dumb. Just that's a dumb thing to say. You WANT maximum voter participation so everyone feels invested into the outcome.
As a non-religionist, I'd like to ask the Christians out there, if you really don't like the devil—and everything coming out of the left looks like he personally orchestrated it—then why in the godly fuck would you not vote to end it? "Faith without works is dead." You people remind me of the ones floating in the ocean after a shipwreck, turning down offers of help from boats and a helicopter because "I trust in the LORD to save me." Then you drown, get to Heaven, ask what the hell's up with letting me die, and he says "WTF? I SENT you two boats and a helicopter, mullavugga!"
Same with muh fellow gun owners.
Pretty shocking to hear these are two groups Trump has to beg and plead to vote.
Hypocritical. Just vote, as Trump urged you to do. Or, have a nice tall glass of STFU, and quit with the constant whining about Satan, pedophiles, cannibals, and how you beseech God to deliver you from all your tribulations.

I believe the context of this quote was where he was addressing the Christians - a large demographic who has a tendency of not voting. He was telling them they've must get out and vote "THIS TIME" and then they can go back to not voting - he'll have it so fixed up and running smoothly they wont have to vote again.
As a Christian, I’m surprised you don’t see both parties as equally bad. Works by faith includes voting? Faith would be counting on God to make things right, if I vote or not. Which He will. No matter what I do here in Earth, the end is already written. So you can vote, sure. Or you don’t, it’s up to you. God doesn’t care about the American flag. Or your constitution. Or your oaths. All will bend a knee, even you. Think God would rather me talk about Jesus and His plan, to those standing in line at a voting booth, trying to vote there way out of problems.
And if I was floating in the ocean and a boat came by, that is the Lord answering prayers. Perhaps a non Christian doesn’t understand that? You should seek out Jesus. If your in pursuit of truth, you won’t find much in this world. In God tho, you’ll be sustained. You’ll be filled. And start to understand how a lot of this works. As in life.

Thats the way I understood it.
Yea but that can easily be taken out of context by the media and he knows it, so why risk saying it?
So they overreact and look even more fake and hyberbolic
exactly
Yup. An unfortunate thing to say.
