This is child fairy-tale thinking. The examples are from 90-year-old science fiction. I was referring to the 2-D people living on the surface of a 3-D curve, which is kind of what the Einsteinians imagine is happening with our 3-D world and 4-D "spacetime." Otherwise, higher dimensions are only a mathematical abstraction, not a metaphysical reality. And why do you pick 5 dimensions, and not 4 or 6...or 732? This is fiction and magic.
So what happens to your soul when you body quits? Where does it go? Could it possibly ascend into a high vibrational world... unseen and undetected by you now?
Is earth all there is to it? What exactly is the "God particle?" anyway? Have you ever had an out of body experience? Ever met an alien? If there is another side of life do you think maybe they have ever communicated with us here?
I hate to say it Sir, but I am not the one that sounds crazy here. I am the one asking the right questions. Unlike you, I never proclaimed to know the answers. The one thing I have learned about science is there is no such thing as science fiction. Most of the so-called science fiction I saw as a child has already come to pass.
Be reminded this conversation started from a post where a man with extensive credentials, exposure and experience gave us a glimpse into what he knows. I agreed with him. Do you think he is also crazy and in la la land too?
I am a Christian, so I accept the Biblical declarations on the subject. Just because I am harsh on undisciplined nonsense does not mean I have a closed mind. Plenty of things in science fiction that have not and will never come to pass. I suspect I have been reading it longer than you have been alive, so I am not impressed with your admonition.
As for generals making predictions, the best one I can recall was Danny Graham who was behind the High Frontier organization and the Strategic Defense Initiative, which I worked in. This clip is apparently 4 years old. There are also generals who are long on flourish and short on "show me." I have 40 years experience to put against his, in the relevant weapons technologies.
Well said. You keep mentioning your age. Care to share your age? I was born in 1959. No military background... other than my father, born in 1919, died at age of 98, was also a General in the Air Force so I have thousands of hours in intellectual discussions with him under my belt. He was a great teacher.
I was born in 1951, in the Atomic Age, rather than the Space Age. I was quite taken with the advent of nuclear submarines, especially the SSN-571 Nautilus. I think I have just recently outlived my father in age. He was a signalman in the Navy in World War II, assigned to the Armed Guard, and spent the war on convoys, literally around the world. He saw the ruins of Nagasaki after the atomic bomb detonation. He was recalled to service in the Korean War, but wisely chose to go into the submarine service. Not much submarine warfare in that war. He enjoyed delving into "interesting" subjects.
You certainly are entitled to your opinion. I know many people that feel identical to you... you certainly aren't alone.
Yet, there are a growing number of scientists in the world that disagree with your assertions. Fiction and magic. Reminds me of a quote, "Once you label me, I can never be anything more to you."
I know a LOT of people that feel identical---they are engineers and scientists. We are responsible for making things that work.
Which assertions? That there is no evidence of dimensions higher than what we experience? Since there is no evidence, what would they be doing by thinking so? All you have is airy-fairy dreams about fantasy possibilities. You don't have any evidence. At least I understand the origin of the Casimir force. Do you even know what it is? And how it relates to the quantum vacuum? I've mentioned other challenges to conventional thinking, but you are not interested in them, so you are in a poor position to think you have a better understanding.
I plan to research more on the Casimir force. I really don't know enough to comment on it. You can't offend me pal... but seriously, you seem to have some desire to do so. Nice try.
I don't share much of my personal experiences nor do I claim to know it all because of the people in my orbit. Obviously, your path, your present bubble does not includes the same experiences. Are you going to now start demanding I use the right pronouns too in alignment with your thinking?
Lighten up pal. This isn't an attack on you personally.
I will say this, if you knew what your anger did to your physical body chemistry, your biology, your DNA and the electromagnetic field you generate... you would never employ such an angry demeanor... all mainstream science. So obviously you are naive in such matters... thus proof that you still have some learning to do.
I'm just letting you know that I am aware of physical phenomena of which you are not, so kindly stop talking down to me. I only "demand" that you know what you are talking about.
Odd, that you want to cast this conversation as antagonism and attack. I have known since being a small child that one is impervious to words.
You misunderstand my manner. I don't go along with the Internet "egalitarianism", where everybody thinks they are equally equipped to comment on a subject. I have a lot of background I haven't mentioned---just too much to mention. But I see you have wandered from the subject to psychoanalysis, which tells me your ability to discuss the subject has petered out.

Seriously man, chill out.

Good luck in your journey and chill out man.
