I know a little, definitely not an expert, but, according to some that I've known, most are just old WW2 vets that talk military stories. There are also many that just use it as a place to get out of the house and hang around with the guys. The average 3rd degree Master M@son that has never held a position of office within the lodge, would not be privy to any insider knowledge of the politics of the lodge. Suffice to say, it's reasonable to assume there is an inner more secret group (satanic?) that can stay hidden unbeknownst to most of the members. Not defending them by any means but, most of the freem@sons that I've known (father, uncles, grandfather) have always been men that have morales, conservatives, and have raised decent law abiding children, IMHO. Also, I think the majority are clueless about the inner workings and have most likely been infiltrated by satanic cults. Much like the rest of society. Just my 2 cents.
I've been Treasurer of a Lodge and treasurer of "Knights Templar" York Rite. I have never seen any evil. Also, I am a 32 Scottish Rite, Shriner (Aviatior) and A.M.D. First of all there are honorary 33rd and Active 33rds. There are only 33 active 33rd Degrees in each jurisdiction (North & South). I have personally known 3 active's.... all good people. I do think "Freemasonry" has been infiltrated.
Why do the Freemasons always seem to show up at these big FF events?
Is it true that anybody may be appointed to a 33rd degree FM regardless of whether or not they were a FM to begin with?
I've held many positions in the lodge and there is no "inner" secret. I think groups have taken masonic teachings and incorporated it into their own sects... be it the mormon's, skull and bones, fraternities, etc.. There are sooooo many fake masonic lodges, irregular. that don't adhere to the ancient teachings. 1 + SQ of5 bytwo . . .. ... .....
Also, be it known that I very much believe in GOD. In fact, we say the Lord's Prayer at all York Rite affairs.
Curious, do you ever utter the name Jesus Christ in the lodge?
I think the core disagreement to be had here is on which god they serve. What do you say to people who claim FM's serve Lucifer, at least esoterically? Not to endorse everything the man had to say, but Bill Cooper laid out a thorough charge against the FMs being Luciferians (the serpent in the garden = god).
That is helpful. So the lower levels don't even engage in politics at all? It's like a social club?
You should get the book on Freemasonry by Charles Finney. I'm about 1/2 way through it. He was a preacher, and the Holy Spirit told him he couldn't do both. They have to take a secret oath to be a member, and they will lie on a witness stand to protect a fellow freemason. You basically can't have a free society with a bunch of secret oath takers.
100%. This jives with what I know abour them so far
I haven't finished reading this https://sacred-texts.com/mas/dun/dun04.htm but it definitely seems to conflict with Christ's message of salvation, and likely the 10 commandments, even though they are referencing the Bible all over the place
Govt politics yes, but not lodge politics. I've been told most meetings just discuss whether they should donate $$ to local charities, school events, and needy families.
Now THAT is interesting... so do they bar them from discussing extra-masonic politics, or is it moreso just an 'unwritten rule'?
That's a good question. I'll try to get that info and reply when I get an answer.
Politics and Religion are strictly prohibited to be discussed during lodge. Although many discussions in the parking lot occur after the meeting.
