I once watched a news report where they were interviewing these evangelical christians (which I gathered was basically Zionist christians) and they were saying how when Jesus comes and gathers up all the Jews, and these Evangelicals would be on the side watching, while the rest of the world is burnt up, and once all the Jews were taken to the best place in the Heaven, Jesus would then come and take these Evangelicals to the second best place.
And he was saying this with a happy smile, almost dreamlike, like he couldn't wait for that to happen. One of the worst things I have seen.
Ultimately its their vanity and selfishness that captures them into this.
My understanding is these evangelicals believe that the rapture will come. All of the Jews in the world will say Oh Vey, all those Christians disappeared, I guess I was wrong, I will now accept Jesus Christ as the true Messiah. I believe they are now God's army on Earth during the 7-year reign of the antichrist.
I believe Jesus then comes to Earth with an army and conquers the evil side, and he sets up his earthly Kingdom for 1,000 years.
After a thousand years, the people of the world rise up against the kingdom of Jesus and rebel against him.
I believe this is when all of the disasters and Revelation come and ultimately it leads to the destruction of the world and the final judgment of mankind.
Some think that the 1000 year reign already happened, as evidenced by artifacts left behind like impossible architecture, starforts and melted buildings - and that we're living in the "little season" right now.
You know they've totally screwed with history and time/dates repeatedly along the way.
Regarding rapture... only 144,000 are going to disappear out of 8 Billion...so you better be such a good boy or you won't make it out ...I mean you can't take some at face value and do gymnastics when it comes to how many are going to magically disappear. Nobody would even notice two football stadiums of people missing...
Also 144,000 wasn't a literal specific number. In that time that was like saying a million because it was such a ridiculously high number at that time. It was for effect.
Yes, I was jus summarising your comment :)

Is this accurate description of that belief?
I've been looking for exactly this kind of explanation.

They added a 1000yr to our timeline some people say, hmmm that would put some puzzle pieces together, like old world buildings!
Again there is no rapture.
