Federal judge rules HIV-positive individuals must be allowed to join the military (I promise this is a real thing that happened)
US District Judge Leonie Brinkema has ruled that the US military cannot discriminate against HIV-positive people who want to join the military.
Is this to cover for mpox uptick that may be coming from jabs?
So chronic medical conditions like asthma, cerebral palsy, being flat footed, heart disease or deformity (murmur), and other maladies will have the military reject you from serving, but this judge thinks a chronic, incurable, blood-borne retrovirus illness like HIV is not a legitimate criteria for rejecting a recruit?
Judge needs to shut up and stay in his lane as military can set medical standards for recruitment. It's unfortunate congress didn't disqualify the appointment of said judge in the first place.
I imagine even Zelenskyyy thinks that's a dumb idea.
Well, that ought to be enough to scare the bejesus out of the enemy doing any hand-to-hand combat with our troops.
Then let people with cancer, diabetes, gross obesity etc all join. You can barely take care of the once healthy veterans who joined and now have a multitude of maladies the VA needs to care for.
