End of the fiscal year coming up,they have to burn the fuel/ money.
MonkeyWerx covers everything airborne!
These flight trackers can tell any story you want. Meanwhile transponders are in the off position for anything important. It might as well be a crystal ball from Spencer's Gifts.
Meh
I watch the planes daily. On 9/5 at 8:49pm there were 251 showing in air. Of those there was a Q4, 2 Q9's, 13 P8's, 4 E3TF's, 3 E6's and 2 V22's. I have used a aircraft identify site to learn these are some of the heavy hitters in surveillance and such. I've not seen this many in the past. Evening with training excersises.
Sorry about the source. They're not always fake.
I haven't been following lately, but if IIRC from my planefag days, this is hardly unusual. Probably corresponds with heavier training which happens every year.
Now if there were like 500 aircraft up and most were not trainers, that would be something to note. Couple hundred including trainers is not a notable occurrence IMHO. Also keep in mind that there are always significant amounts of .mil aircraft not transponding for whatever reasons. Just a percentage of them suddenly deciding not to go dark and the numbers are boosted without a single additional jet in the air.
HAL is desperate for attention
Are they arresting people after Diddy's arrest? He can dish the dirt on just about everyone in the entertainment world. I can only hope!
Some strange clusters and a lack of aircraft in places they should be.
330 or so up... a little higher than normal.. but nothing to get your undies wadded up over!
Could they be distributing all the illegal aliens?
I had 2 AC-130 Gunships fly overhead today. We rarely see military aircraft overfly this area. If we do its usually Coast Guard going from Selfridge to Grand Haven and back or heavy lift helos. We do see the B17 flying out of Willow Run a couple times per summer.
Theyve closed the AFB in Michigan. K.I. Sawyer SAC base is closed, Alpena is now a Readiness Flight Training Center for the National Guard and Selfridge is a National Guard and Coast Guard Base. And then there is Camp Grayling Joint Maneuver Training Center that services the NG of three or four States in the region and Fort Custer (yes that Custer, he was from Battle Creek) is now NG too. No active military bases left.
That's very interesting to me because...

That is interesting.
A lot of interesting activity off the California coast the last couple of days. What are they looking for or guarding against?
