He was born in Bethlehem but he was conceived in Nazareth. He also spent almost his entire life in Nazareth until he started his ministry at age 30. So it is an important place.
Deception will use a mostly true statement. Just as is done here. It is factually a lie. Now if Yoav wrote something like - the Place Jesus the Only Savior was conceived in is under attack… then that would be the truth. Yet once again they want to lie to your face and expect you to help them. The question is did the intent be to mock those he is asking for help or was it a mistake??? I am leaning toward it was on purpose to lie to those they demand help from. Why can they not repent and ask Jesus for help?
It was never revealed to the jews, but prophecy indicated it. Because he was a Nazarine or Gaililean, they dismissed him as the Messiah. Snobbery was their downfall.
There is controversy on where exactly Jesus was born (according to the bible). It is not a straight forward statement. The problem is, there are two conflicting stories. If you believe the bible is the unerring word of the Source of All Things then you must rectify those two conflicting stories. Rectification requires you choose one, and Nazareth (because one story is slighly easier to interpret) is the easiest choice.
I won't link any of the scholarly sources on that, because no one who "Believes" will look (you already know the truth, and anyone who questions your truth is a liar and of Satan), but there are a ton of sources if you are interested. A simple scholarly article search (or even youtube search) will net thousands of examples of the controversy if you are interested.
There is no conflict on that in the bible. Both nativity accounts in Matthew and Luke place his birth in Bethlehem as Joseph and Mary are on the road to the census. They were leaving from their hometown of Nazareth to which they returned and raised Jesus after his birth. Jesus is called Jesus of Nazareth because people were called by their hometown not where they were technically born
Not for anyone who Believes (specifically Christians, because other Abrahamic religions do not adhere to that specific dogma). That doesn't mean there isn't plenty of controversy. You have rectified the two stories. That's great. Not everyone agrees. Here is just one example, but there are thousands.
The thing about "controversy" is that different people havesomelevel of justification for their different beliefs. If it is a wide scale controversy (like this one), pretty much always there is some supporting, unanswered evidence for it.
You believe you have it all worked out. Have you actually listened to the dissenting opinions? Have you really listened to why there are so many people who believe otherwise? Can you offer a reasonable rebuttal for all of the dissentions?
It's controversial BECAUSE there are good arguments to the contrary. Your statements of "what really happened" all have such arguments against (with good evidence).
What do you mean rectified the two stories. Both stories say Bethlehem. There is no conflict in the Bible. Thats my only point. People can say “well i dont believe the Bible and I think he was born somewhere else” but thats based on speculation. Im basing my belief on two accounts written in historical narrative that have other aspects of their account proven true by archeology.

Bethlehem is the correct answer 🙄
Jews may not believe Jesus was born in Bethlehem.

very clear. Many here have never read the Gospels.
