I don't blame yah one bit. I left years ago and every time I go home to visit it just turns into a bigger and bigger shithole with more and more crime.
Last time I was in Scranton getting pizza at Alfredo's and within one block, broad daylight, I watched two cars get broken into and drugs get sold.
The houses are all falling in on themselves and no one takes care of anything because all the people that gave a shit moved away. Now all that's left over is a bunch of illegals and hood rats. I will never move back there.
Look in southern central Florida. Contrary to popular belief of the real estate market down here, there are still affordable homes. You won't be right next to the ocean of anything, but it will be affordable and pretty safe inland with us rednecks.
We have a realtor near Ocala National Forest. That area is cheaper however everyone know who lives in Florida said the insurance rates are going through the roof.
Some of the people are moving because that can't afford insurance.
I am older and I can't be worrying about paying insurance.
I am also looking at Eastern TN, (they are going crazy there putting crap up over 300K), Berkeley Springs, WV and VA in Greene County.
He is the reason I am moving out of this crap state.

I am actively trying to get out.

Edit: stay away from the cities though.
