I knew I hated country music for a reason. Been a metalhead for over 40 years. It calms me, country music puts me in a shit mood. You'd be surprised that a lot of metal bands have lyrics to inspire you to be a better person. One of my favs, Hatebreed. Their name isn't what you think.

I was just in Nashville for a week.
When I got back, friends and family asked me if I finally came around to country music.
I said no, I hate it even more.
Though admittedly, hard country, like Merle Haggard and the like, is nothing like the pop country of the past 40 years
Q: What's the quickest way to Nashville?
A: Sing through your nose.
I like Western music or Western Swing...like Riders of the Purple Sage
I've been a metal head going way back to the 70's, was even a roadie for a band.
I enjoy some country music, not all.
True country is some of the only wholesome music left, these days.
Agreed. Give me some bourbon and metal cranked up loud, and I'm in my happy place.
