People need to break out of their tribalism. Musk admits he is a bit left of center. That doesn't mean he can't be in agreement with people who are a bit right of center on some issues.

Exactly. We can't see peoples' hearts, and yes, some who now seem to be good may in the end turn out to be bad, or even evil. But all we can judge them on are their actions now. So perhaps we should just look at those?
And besides: perfect really is the enemy of good. The only way to win a war is to keep supporting what is good, or good enough, even sometimes what is merely just better than the other alternatives, whether that is people, strategies, or tactics. Keep waiting for the perfect and you will end up waiting forever. And lose.
