Event after event, year after year, discovery after discovery...the EU guys' predictions increasingly align with new/incoming data, as the Standard Models are demonstrated as wrong and wronger.
And when one looks at the history of physics, cosmology, and other sciences since the 1930s, one can easily see that those were captured by the same philosophies and forces that engaged in other kinds of cultural capture, especially around WW1 then the 1930s. Well, the 2006-2015 isn't really right- it is only showing the worse ones- where as we dont know if the 79-88 is showing all hurricanes and not only the worse ones- also- the USA was originally still in an ice age when we were founded in the 18th century- Even though now, they are trying to say it wasn't so not sure if that factors into things- one thing i know is that we now have plastic in our lungs and they spray plastics in the air to control our weather-

1851-1860 saw 20 strikes by Hurricanes
1861-1870 saw 15
1871-1880 saw 20
1881-1890 saw 21
1891-1900 saw 21
1931-1940 saw 21
1941-1950 saw 24
From about 1951 onwards we as of yet have never seen never saw over 20 Hurricanes strikes in a decade
And from about 1961-2000. We never had over 15 strikes in one decade.
Something changed in 2001. Though with 2001-2010 recording 18. And 2011-2020 recording 19.

The earliest American acknowledgement of a hurricane that I'm aware of was the Great Storm of 1900, which struck Galveston and killed thousands of people.
It's still the deadliest natural disaster, in terms of total lives lost, in US history.
I've been to Galveston many times and seen the hurricane museum there. It's why the Seawall exists.
Check out the one during the war of 1812 in Washington d.c. same day the burned the capital. Plus a tornado. Put about 1000 of the 5000 British troops who attacked out of commission and rain out out the fires.

I'm getting ready for work but maybe someone else can make a new thread about this. I just pulled the first hit on Yandex but they purposely changed where they take "official" temperatures to make it seem like it's getting hotter ...like airport runways

I don't believe they could control the weather back then but experiments in creating rain do date to the end of the 1800s.
