And it starves the Haitians on the street. Seriously though, this is a good idea imo.
**BREAKING NEWS ALERT: **
Record number of Haitian immigrants voluntarily incarcerating themselves
Wow, felines helping humans be more humane.
This is awesome. Hopefully given to the least offending criminals as this makes their time in jail a lot more pleasant.
I would think this is a program for everybody, but if it were up to me I would favor the MOST offending criminals as it makes the guards and other inmates time more pleasant.
Just goes to show you a pussy can make a man behave.

This proves that LOVE HEALS. Love reverses hate. Rather than punishing criminals for their behavior, if we provide an environment where their darkness can be transmuted to higher consciousness, its a win-win situation for all.
BRILLIANT!
Of course Jackson Galaxy makes a cameo! Lol
This is how you rehabilitate people! Thereβs another prison that allow inmates to play Dungeons & Dragons. Itβs allowed the inmates to be someone else, build stronger problem solving skills, and be able to process past traumas in their lives through the game.
Giving them a positive relationship with something that can't know what they did helps with the compartmentalization needed for rehabilitation.
I am with one right now (though not in prison I hasten to add) and as much as she is calming and comforting, she is still reminding me she's in charge of the terms πΈπΌ
Everyone needs to be loved and cats or dogs are great! I don't think dogs are a good idea in prison for myriad reasons, but they got the emotional support gig cats don't have.
Canine training programs have been successful as well. It's all good.

Yea, it's a good idea until a pissed off inmate snaps the feline's neck and then uses the carcus as a weapon. Nope, let them pet a post in the middle of the yard! Sorry but I see more downside than upside on this one.
I feel like an idea like this should really only be available to non violent populations.
Most likely they are not given to violent criminals.
That hasn't happened though. There is a lot of incentive for the care and humane treatment of these animals.
If the inmate is not from Haiti, its all good.
I just hope inmates don't use them for "cat fights". KEK!
