We absolutely should do the same. Take the renewed republic back to what the Constitution called for : the Dept. of War and the Treasury Dept. We can then decide what else - if anything - we need for an efficient government.
States should exercise more power. It's obvious that the three branches are NOT being the checks and balances for each other as intended. States should have an option to step in if necessary imo.
I've always thought that removing the states representatives at the federal level from each states control was the biggest mistake. Once they became employees of the federal govt, there was ZERO reason to remain loyal to the state while EVERY reason to be loyal to the party/fed govt. State governors and/or legislatures at one time had the power to remove a representative or senator if they weren't voting how the state wanted them to vote. We need that back.
I retired from the DoD. To be fair, the regular workers for the most part are very hard working people, at least most of them. I agree with cutting 80% of upper management. And 80% of the politicians should go!
Bet he can hit 95% if he puts in a little extra effort.
Why not 97 or 98%? When you're that close....
Hire Grok…
Absolutely!

Repeal the 17 amendment.
The senate needs to protect states rights.

All carrot and no stick now.
They were intended to be an important check against the populist house.
Now senators can do what they like for 4 years, and only pay attention to the people, when they need to run again.
Yep. It's got to go lol.
The 14th amendment needs to be done away with as well, I mean since it was never completely ratified.
Zero. Nothing more.
I'm in!
Yes, please!
