According to the ultra far left, these liberals are now the ultra far right:

I think a lot of liberals are good people who got caught up in a big cultural mistake. Personally I'd love to see a world free from government and corporate tyranny. Smaller communities with more local supply chains. Parents who work for themselves alongside their children. Healthy, real food and medicine and no more shadowy forces in control.
We're on the same page. Most "Liberals" are not liberal, but they aren't murderous cunts either. They just have this childlike idea that they can force things. We're going to "make everyone safe" and "mandate X". Yeah... in order to do that you'll need a government so jacked up on armor and bullets you are not gonna have a good time. Instead, focus on freedom, knowledge of one's rights, and respect for others' rights.
You described that so well. We are going to make it happen.
Loving the imagery fren. Thats the world i want.
There is no ultra far left. There is just the left. And they are wrong. On everything. The right is called right for a reason, it means correct.
Their only real argument is to tell others they are not left wing enough and therefore an enemy of humanity, the worst ones for this sort of argument are the women.
Mandate, mandate, mandate. Sounds like a modern liberal to me.
Sounds like how Obama and Michelle ended up together.
Nah, the question used the word “mandate.” She used the word back at him in her answer.
I'm in favor of mandating the FDA to not allow poison in our food.
It never woulda happened if they hadn’t been bought by Brawndo.
You keyed in on THE word.
Most of what she says sounds acceptable, or even great. But it all becomes evil with that word. Mandate.
I think she stated the way to go after this, with the Left. "Vaccines are Big Pharma which is corporate greed."
I agree with her on a lot of topics, as long as we Jenga out the word "mandate". Provide incentives for companies to produce healthy food, and for people to have their own gardens. Would love to see some sort of "property tax deduction" for the part of your lawn that you have made into a garden, or something along those lines. To help promote nutrition, self-sufficiency, and the destruction of the evil property tax concept.
I’d like to see the abolition of the party system and training or improvement for people on how to hold their representatives accountable DURING their terms.
At that point, you’re hiring the guy for his ability to construct good legislation, good deals, communicate honestly and openly with his constituency, and be aware of issues, and NOT as a idolatrous prayer for some vapid collection of ideas.
Destroy the Democrat Party, but destroy the Republican Party, too. There are only representatives, now.
We have mid-point reviews in the year, quarterly Account Reviews, monthly Pipeline Reviews, Yearly Performance Reviews, etc. But yet in politics we get to "review" them once every four years (in the case of Presidents) and right before we do the review, they send us a lot of money.
It's fucked.
No doubt. I’m talking about constant, active review, as perceived as necessary, through personal accountability for stewardship of public office.
I'm all in on that.
With the proviso that we take care to not make it a poll/popularity contest.
Here are the four things you stated you would accomplish in 2025. Please provide status on your progress on these four things, with third party metrics that validate your status. Please identify blockers to achieve those things in 2025, etc. etc. etc.
There absolutely needs to be some sort of easily acquirable way to see exactly what who has done, when, and to issue communications with them, resolve conflicts between opposing requests, etc.
I’m aware of sites like govtrack, but there need to be even better.
Agreed. And the old Robin Williams joke that Congressmen should be required to wear their sponsorships on their uniforms, like NASCAR, is actually a great idea (which is why the joke was funny). All donations from all parties to all Congressmen should be illegal. The argument against that will be "Well then we'll only have super-rich people in Congress". But, sadly, we already have that (which reminds me ... all insider trading must be made illegal). If donations are not to be made not illegal, then they must be transparent.
I was going to say, “should be transparent”. They’re already illegal, which is easy to circumvent.
Insider trading seems quite unavoidable, so instead of being vague about what it even is (try asking a lawyer. You’ll die before you get an answer), legalize it, and require assets and certain contracts to be validated in order to have ownership traded on exchanges.
This would probably put Corporations at a disadvantage in comparison to ordinary businesses due to transparency requirements and early announcements of contracts. Would that be an improvement on what we have now?
That was a time when WE were the Liberals.
I think it totally crept up and overtook them during the Obama years because he was beyond criticism, their race-guilt let him drive their party into complete lunacy.
Sounds like us WhItE sUpReMeSiStSsssss
I'm right here, fren.
But I don't want to "mandate" anything. "Promoting" is better.
They are wearing MAHA hats now. Bank you vote!
If we gonna mandate let's do it right... or we can all just migrate that way on our own free will.
Yeah but, she still says the word "mandate" a lot.
