It’s such a weird feeling to be trying to discuss something with someone, knowing you’re trying to look out for them and their children, and have them not get it and see you as adversarial just because you aren’t harmonizing with their narrative.
The other option is that they have something hidden we don’t know about and want to avoid justice, which is also weird.
This whole thing is weird. Weird, weird, weird. Folks, folks, folks. The American People, The American People. Does anyone know why they fixate on these specific words and phrases and repeat them constantly? Is it just marketing or something to do with mind control or comms?
Sheep are creatures of repetition. When the speaker uses the same words over and over every time, it gives the sheep a sense of familiarity, comfort and complacency.
It’s basic social psychology. From an evolutionary perspective it can speculated that conformity is a survival adaptation, and nonconformists have something “wrong” with them in that regard. Of course the world isn’t black and white like that and it’s all about balance and discernment.
Well, you kind of are their adversary, not in the grand battle, but in a perceived critique of their lifestyles. When you point out a national problem to them, they feel like you’re pressuring them to become part of the solution. Such solutions may require courage, effort, and/ or sacrifice. If they don’t want to hamper their lifestyles, they might be tempted to take the cowardly or lazy route of denying the problem. Some are just cowering behind the appearance of being delusional.

Extremely well observed. If they were to acknowledge the problem, it would put them at odds with others. We all suffer from that daily, but do it to honor what we increasingly/gradually/suddenly have seen as more true than the previous thing(s) we thought. It's PAINFUL sometimes.
They don't want to do the work or face the pain. Where I live the major employer, by a long shot, has become local, state, and federal government. All the majority of these permastate workers for life want is for someone to tell them what to say and how to act so they can put their heads down, do what they're told, and keep the paychecks coming/career climbing.
Some of them are just humble ilttle people who literally have no other job options--the REAL economy was destroyed long ago. Others are upscale, well connected, Rootless Cosmopolitan types who just drift from one administrative position to the next, one city or state or county to the next. The truth is not in them. Nor is leadership.
Yeah I live in a blue state so I’ve seen many case studies, kek. If you get to know leftists well enough you’ll eventually see that they all have personal axes to grind that explain their politics: Pushover men pressured by their wives, virtue signalers striving for status, appeasers of races perceived to be leftist, and of course the people getting government money either by handout or paycheck. The government money recipients might be the most logical because the others are so disordered, but they’re solipsistic scumbags too.
Your classifications of government workers are good. I offer the labels of the rudderless, the aggressively mediocre, and the ruthlessly psychopathic
they all have personal axes to grind that explain their politics
Don't forget all the walking wounded females who are instinctively driven to look for/mate with chads...who never got born because their chadly ancestors were selected for genocide in the war drafts of 1917 to 1965.
I feel the same way about RKBA/2A. I and my now-departed darling (spouse of 30 years) carried everywhere, with the oath to put ourselves on the line to protect others if necessary. And yet most of the people where we live would revile us as "gun nuts" even though we are thinking of THEM and THEIR FAMILIES.
I wish they could just wear t-shirts that say, "If a lunatic attacks me and my family, let it happen coz that's better than GUN NUTS." And, "I don't care if a lunatic attacks you and your family, coz I hate you all as I was taught to do."
But in answer to your question? The repetition is a sign that they are in a cult, and were brainwashed into it, probably via fear (fear of not fitting in, and being attacked for that), pride/ego (wanting to hold themselves over others), or just being sound asleep/having no capacity for self reflection or input from others.
When I was taught the principles of m!ndf!ck in graduate school, I was utterly devastated to see what we were being trained to do. I went into that study to use media "for good"--then learned that wasn't the prevailing model. And BOY, the rewards they offer you for going along!!!!
I said no and made other choices--taking that technical knowledge to people so they could defend against these psychological and spiritual attacks. Never made much money at it. But seeing our national Wizard DJT, these past 10+ years, learning the Captors' media methods, and using it against them...I have given thanks daily that this was possible/has happened. Where it goes from here, only God knows...all I know is, I'm tired. And still not giving up.
I have not read it, AE, given it comes out of the "business expert tells you how to do Thing X" genre. My training was more in the roots of all that--the literal 1A psychology, neurology, social psychology, etc. That's what freaked me out as I started piecing together what I was being groomed to be part of. And how they gloated over "successes," and how they ridiculed and reviled the people whose minds and souls they were messing with. While massively profiting from their confusion and destruction. (Especially the permawar types in "both" "parties.")
Have you seen this 2019 interview (actually two related ones) of Steve Bannon?
He goes deeply into the issue of the "elites" (powerful) using media to profit from "managed decline." And how Andrew Breitbart and others pushed back against that (including himself)...and how Trump is a master of it, partly because he understands media...and partly because he truly loves this republic and its people...and partly because he has the instincts of a once-in-five-generations LEADER.

Very good insight!

Well put.

Unrelated, would you recommend Robert Caldini’s Influence book as well, before dropping coin and time?

Thanks JD Vance for taking back weird.
