The Amish typically don’t vote in large percentages if memory serves. But this time I believe they will be out in full force and close to 100% for Trump.
And since they don’t have phones, they are not being polled.
I think whether they are encouraged to vote or not has to do with the rules of their specific community. Some don't think you should vote- and many lack the proper id and documentation to vote- but I think that may be changing. I follow an ex-Amish man who now works to help people get out if they want, and he posted about Old Order Amish voting a few days ago (sorry for the youtube link):
This specific group is upset and organizing to vote but their reason for doing so this election cycle is that they're ashamed/horrified at how the US government is treating their own citizens in the wake of Helene.
I talk to the Amish framing crew all the time. Just this week I was pouring a driveway on a house while they were there doing the punch list and I asked them if they were voting. They told me they dont typically vote but pray that the person chosen is the best person for the job.
Correct. The Amish do not typically vote because while they are political and also usually know what's going on, they claim to be a-political and do nor believe they should vote. I know some did in 2020. Guessing since PA is a swing state some may vote there. I don't think they do in OH or IN. The other two huge Amish settlements. I live in the middle of the IN settlement and we are fairly well connected here and I don't know any that vote.
Idk about PA but here in Michigan the Bishop determines how strict the communities are. Many Amish I know don't vote however, scuttlebug is they are going to this year.

They always voted here from my understanding.
Update. 180,00 new Amish registrations. They are going 100% for Trump!

I hope they do. I wish the MI Amish would too.
