Indiana fren here.
The machines we used to cast our ballots were of the same make as they've been for years. However, this time, it printed my ballot, which I got to verify before I submitted it. This is a first.
Anyone else experience anything different with the voting process?
Back in '22 the machines in my area changed. Now it prints paper that we have to review and feed into a separate scanner ourselves. Zero trust anyway as we know that it's after the scanner that the vote flipping happens.
Precisely. You only print, what you want someone to see. Whatever algorithm runs in the background, is hidden from view.
Our voting machines in my area of Texas are the same as the 2020 Election. You can verify your vote on the screen before tapping the button on the screen that says, vote and then it prints out your ballot and you can verify your selections. I still hate all machine voting!!
I’m in Texas as well. The machines in Harris County were different. They used to have a click wheel, but those are gone. They’re touch screen now.
It still printed to paper where you could check your votes. The scanner didn’t care which way you feed your paper in. That may be new.
We previously had the click wheel system so it sounds like we're using the same system here on Texas coast. Read the machines in Tarrant County (Fort Worth) were switching votes... hopefully everyone is checking their ballot.
I hated those wheel machines
Yeah we had those in IL until 2022.
Most of my life, we had HUGE mechanical machines. This provided a perfectly accurate vote total that could be trusted. These should be brought back. If the gummit says they are too large and bulky, I think they would have an overload of patriots willing to tote them back and forth from storage to precincts!
Seems like damage control and/or gaslighting.
Did it have a QR code on it?
Sadly no.
That’s actually good. They have been caught before printing the paper with a QR code that machines read during tabulation which does not match the human readable part.. so it looked correct but still flips votes.
