No offense to you personally, but that last bit makes no sense. Of course you can have faith in the Lord and use your firearms for a righteous cause. Did the Christians of days past just say “It’s in God’s hands” and lay down their arms as the Ottomans invaded? Heck no! As a fellow Christian I’d say you’re on the right track and I completely understand what you meant regarding god vs guns sentence. It’s more figurative than literal, and can only be said by someone who has gone through the inner cleansing of realizing his dependence on his own self, “self reliance,” which contains a lot of fear and pride. True faith is realizing we are never meant to have faith in ourselves. I have gone through similar changes. I can’t hold on too tightly to my prepper stash, or else it becomes my god because my fear runs the show. So I give my fear to God and now I’m not so scared anymore. Funny how that works!
