Because they're mentally imbalanced, suffer from delusions of superiority and personal adequacy and are just plain nuts.
Because they are in the middle of massive cognitive dissonance. They are forced to simultaneously believe that Biden won the most votes in history while also getting only 1 of 19 bellwethers (Obama got 18/19 as did Trump). This is the case for them on a million different topics. Their brains are under such internal stress trying to reconcile all of these irreconcilable things, that the smallest trigger can cause a cascade failure.
Mind control is real. If they were NOT tv watchers they would not be in this condition.

Their stress comes from reality, and especially others succeeding in it. They've given up on life and thrown their lot in with the rest of the hopeless. The worst thing for them is seeing the evidence in others that it's not all for nothing and that there is purpose to life, because their very identity relies on misery and hopelessness. So they have a pretty powerful cognitive dissonance when they are presented with belief in God or happy families and people helping each other of their own will.
I don't know if that's a great example of being easily triggered. If someone was waving a flag like in your face it would probably bug you too.
